The Hats for Mindy project Both Kirsten and Michael G have selected the same hat: Mindy is still mum on if it appeals to her (although she has declared her dislike for cats). Of which there are a billion and a half variations. Ideas? Analogies? Poetic nonsense of which to choose? My grocery store the fantabulous Berkeley Bowl makes a guest appearance on my favorite NPR podcast ever: RadioLab from WNYC and the hosts get trapped in the massive apple aisle. Righteous!

The Steven has been on retreat all week at his Zen Center across town; it leaves me feeling abandoned by day four but I get a great deal done. Left to my own devices, I will nap twice a day. This afternoon the cat woke me up by climbing on to my chest and sneezing delicately into my face. One should really avoid any wake up call involving cat snot. I am working on some very complicated gloves for Mum's Christmas present. Cables are just fidgety nonsense but kind of pretty. I am listening to an audio book so violently trashy I refuse to tell you what it is. The last of the evil bamboo has been spun up. Never doing that again. Mattress pad heaters are the best.
