Edwin Shneidman has passed on. I look forward to reading his last book published last year “A Commonsense Book of Death: Reflections at Ninety of a Lifelong Thanatologist”. This man cut the suicide rate in Los Angeles by half. And god knows how many other people he saved just by creating an outlet for support. Amazing.
