Accidents in the Life of Highway 24, 1:24 AM

The metallic crunching sound of an auto accident on the freeway is enough to wake one up in a very strange state of mind. Although a dramatic series of sounds (a long screeeeech and then the sound of two very large toasters frantically mating), no one was injured enough to need medical attention. All this I can hear from my bed.

With all the accompanying noises, a few other people around the neighborhood are awake and making additional restless sounds. Why would anyone be throwing lumber around at 1:30 in the morning?
