Another lovely day on vacation

Well, that was a full-on glorious day.We drove North an hour of sexy curvy roads to Mendocino. (photos will follow; it is impossible to describe the cliffs or the great bookstore.)

There was some pretty serious pie for breakfast: Cinnamon apple and maple pumpkin (we had to toss a slice of rubber cheesecake). Excellent pie but these might actually be Crisco crust peoples.

The Steven, when pressed, would fess up that living in Mendocino might not be a horrible way to spend the rest of one's life, even if that meant that he'd have to establish his own Zen Center : The Mendo Zendo. And if Japanese sword classes were taught it'd be the Kendo Mendo Zendo. But that's just some pretty silly territory we are hustling over.

Oh, and you silly, blogless but so classy New York Girl? I have gone over to the other side and now own a tube of hemp lip balm (mint flavored and has SPF). The dreds should be appearing any day now. You can keep that tube of Beige de Chanel. I could never get used to that perfumey taste. Beige and I never really got on much anyway.

Now that Steven is asleep and my forearms are too sore to spin anything else, I am now going outside into that perfect still California darkness, wearing only the favorite blanket and wool socks to lie on the picnic table and count all the stars, watch the bats and listen to the ocean. Heaven, indeed. Must remember to leave the front door unlocked this time.
