Awake at 3:10 AM

• The Steven has been on retreat all week at his Zen Center across town; it leaves me feeling abandoned by day four but I get a great deal done.
• Left to my own devices, I will nap twice a day. This afternoon the cat woke me up by climbing on to my chest and sneezing delicately into my face. One should really avoid any wake up call involving cat snot.
• I am working on some very complicated gloves for Mum's Christmas present. Cables are just fidgety nonsense but kind of pretty.
• I am listening to an audio book so violently trashy I refuse to tell you what it is.
• The last of the evil bamboo has been spun up. Never doing that again.
• Mattress pad heaters are the best.
