Late on Thursday Night.

I can't help it: I'm jonesing for a new sewing machine. Please talk me out of it or suggest your favorite model.

Radio silence will ensue this weekend. There are seals to be named and barbecue to be eaten and somebody's gotta do it. You are to cause all kinds of ruckus, havoc, with a good dose of lust thrown in. Then get on your blog, give us the dirty details of where to find such tantalizing non-fiction and report back here to be put into the top links. You will relax, you will have fun, you will be creative.

I've currently got an eye infection -in both eyes. My eyes dried out and got scraped by the contact lenses. ow ow ow. It's gonna be another dark glasses and ice pack kind of day tomorrow.

Like Catherine Deneuve said: "At some point you have to make a choice between your face or your ass." I am pretending to put off this decision indefinitely.

I have a Necchi. Purchased at one of those 'sewing machine clearance sale' things at Stone Mountain about 10 years ago. I didn't want any bells and whistles, I wanted STURDY so I got a metal framed mechanical one with out any crazy computer stuff. It should be easy to have repaired, but its never broken! It still has the 30 some odd stitch options that I never use... Good Luck!

I'm currently using a BabyLock Ellure- a combination sewing & embroidery machine- and really like it. I, too, am tempted to upgrade and really, really, really want one of those nice Berninas with a stitch regulator. A fantasy.

Pick your ass! Pick your face! You can have it all, my dear!
