Awake at 2:00 AM

I had a interview with a recruiter downtown San Francisco yesterday (looking sharp in that new black jacket) and managed to wear my nine west high heeled booties for the entire duration of the escapade including transportation, and now the feet are paying the price. How the hell do women wear and walk in these things on a regular basis?! Gah and Ow, Jeeze!

I absolutely must find employment soon as after the interview I moseyed over to Artfibers only to find their previously magnificent yarns have evolved into even more enticing and luscious formulations. They have kept in mind that this is California and instead of loading up on a lot of wool, there is a lot more silk yarn than ever. Wow and double wow!

Surprise! After months and months, UC Berkeley called yesterday afternoon wanting to interview me early on Thursday. I have reservations about my qualifications, but we shall sally forth undaunted and utterly trainable. Smile, smile, glitter, twinkle, sparkle. Meanwhile, gotta fix the hem on those interviewing pants.

S & I had to have a word with the landlady about rather fragrant smoke of an herbal nature invading the upstairs apartment this afternoon. She was immediately defensive and aggressive and would not listen to the situation at hand. As professionals, we just can't go around reeking of her medication of choice. Disturbing. This situation was not in the lease, me thinks. I think with Steven's cool head prevailing, the situation is remedied for now.

Okay, I am going back to bed to see if I can get a few more hours sleep without worrying about how to generate a F&A rate calculation on the fly.
