Thursday? It's Thursday???

No post yesterday due to workplace freakout, audit fallout and general chaos. The resident Mac Book fainted dead way during a software upgrade and due to a faulty V chip, had to be sent back to be disciplined and will hopefully make her shiny-silver-assed way home soon. Stitches West occurs the day after tomorrow. Heavy military style maneuvers will planned tonight at the Stitch and Bitch. Food Most Comforting and Beautiful: A rich and bourbon laced bread pudding at Yalli's. It was everything marvelous starch can be.

How Lame

Did I really just post about Civil War Trivia? Oh, Darlings: you are witnessing my devolution into a 21st Century Old Coot. It's just a matter of time before I start scratching myself inappropriately and yelling at those darn kids. Off topic and for your amusement: Zoo born is here for you. (I adore the frogmouth chicks.)

Topics I have no business discussing

I won a five dollar bet off the Steven over dinner last night (five bucks being the standing bet amount). The Unlikely Topic: Civil War Munitions. 58 caliber muzzle loaded rifles were the primary weapon of the Civil War causing long awkward gaps between shots while both parties had to arduously reload their weapons while attempting to kill each other. I'm not an expert in weaponry or Civil War history, but awkward pauses... that I am familiar with. In battle if the rifle did not discharge properly, it could not be reloaded without disassembly. Two superimposed loads would cause the barrel to explode in the shooter's face. In the case of a misfire, the soldier would have thrown the gun aside for another weapon, which might be picked up by someone else looking for a rifle for the same reason. The misspent cartridges would have been discovered only in tamping down a fresh shot. Discard, scramble for new weapon, repeat. In the Battle of Gettysburg of the 35,000 muskets recovere...

Nothing like a Solo Saturday Morning

Must remember: butter (I'm down to a half pound. Of butter. Not my own ass, regrettably.) chives, tarragon (making compound butter) spinach (eatmorevegetables) cheddar cheese cat food (picky bitch! picky bitch!) Other: Craving: a good chocolate croissant Need: to paint my toenails. McGyver: the Tivo Spinning: silver merino bamboo blend. gooooorrrgeous! Big Experiment: rice in the microwave Question: Does anyone else out there like souffle? Am I the only one? Any particular flavor?

Prank Phone Call

Oh Man. I shouldn't do this. There are many things wrong with the political correctness of this cartoon, so please do not watch it. Probably deeply offensive. Really. Don't watch it. Fuckin' Brilliant: Eames inspired prosthetic .

Help me, Starbucks.

My sleep schedule is all messed up: I was completely exhausted by 8:00 PM and woke up at 3:00 AM. This lead to more spinning and a bit of early morning Top Chef even if the guest judge Emeril makes me yak. (Oh, Fabio?! Where ya goin'?) The Consortium of Pub-Going Loose and Forward Women Look at Joe's NYC Picture today makes one want to race out and play. Deeply uninspired at work.

Why anyone would bother with a pannini press is beyond me.
